The War of the Roses was bloody. On either side there were many victims as they fought for supremacy in England. All of the nobles have blood on their hands and Richard is no exception, having committed murder to assist his elder brother's path to the throne. Now there is peace, but Richard cannot find peace within himself. For him, there is only one thing on his mind, the Crown! For his prize, he will forsake all others. With élan, he contrives, seduces and intrigues the audience with his unscrupulous political show. There is no morality. His desire for power is all encompassing. In his world without love, Richard becomes the architect of his own downfall.
