Tiago Rodrigues, geboren im portugiesischen Amadora, ist Schauspieler, Autor und derzeit einer der bedeutendsten Theaterregisseure Europas. Mit Magda Bizarro gründete er 2003 die Gruppe Mundo Perfeito, die über 30 Stücke produzierte und international tourte. 2015 wurde er künstlerischer Leiter des Teatro Nacional D. Maria II in Lissabon. Zu seinen bekanntesten Bühnenarbeiten zählen „By Heart“ (2013), „Sopro“ (2017) sowie seine Inszenierungen von Shakespeares „Antonius und Cleopatra“ (2014) und Tschechows „Der Kirschgarten“ (2021). Derzeit leitet Rodrigues das Festival d’Avignon.
